GetAbout Fall Fundraiser

GetAbout’s annual Fall Fundraiser will be on Sunday October 20, 2019 at Woodway Country Club (540 Hoyt St. Darien) from 5:00 to 7:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased from the GetAbout’s website, http://www.getaboutnc.org/events or by calling the GetAbout office at 203-972-7433 and paying at the door the day of the event.
GetAbout, founded in 1982, serves New Canaan seniors and others who do not drive. For a suggested donation of $3 per ride GetAbout provides transportation within New Canaan to those making reservations at least a day in advance. In addition, GetAbout provides transportation to medical facilities in neighboring towns at no charge.
GetAbout enjoys the support of the Town and institutions including the local hospitals, the New Canaan Community Foundation and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and others. However, most of its support comes from individuals who recognize how important it is to have a service like GetAbout in our town. The annual Fall Fundraiser is the only event we hold to proactively raise contributions. The $95 ticket cost covers an open bar and an ample offering of hors d’oeuvres. A number of silent auction items will be offered for purchase and mystery bags of wine or food will be sold for $100/bag.
