A North Wilton Road couple reported to police that someone had stolen checks from their home and forged their each of their names on seven checks, totaling $1,776, according to a police report.
The checks were written out between April 2 and 30, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc of the New Canaan Police Department.
The complainants said people had been working in the home during that period, so police are investigating who had access, Ogrinc said.
Both the husband’s and wife’s name had been forged on separate checks, police said.
