On Wednesday, January 7th, the NCHS Boys Varsity A squash team played the Greenwich High School Cardinals at Chelsea Piers in Stamford.
The Rams are continuing their quest for their 3rd Fairwest Championship.
Grayson Bubrosky, playing #1 for New Canaan, beat Mac Awalt 11-4, 11-4, 11-8 and Killian Bubrosky (2) defeated Stephen Song 11-6, 11-8, 11-6.
Christian Megherby (3) was victorious over Kieran Davis, winning 11-9, 8-11, 11-6, 11-7.
Kyle Finnican (4) won against Natasha Feenstra 11-9, 11-5, 11-6.
Sam Havens (6) defeated Jessica Powers 12-10, 13-11, 11-5.
Will Gruseke (5) had a very close match, going to five games but losing 11-5, 5-11, 11-6, 9-11, 6-11 to Lee Davis.
Teddy Holappa (7) and JP Sloan (8) both played against Cornelius Bancroft but lost 8-11, 5-11, 5-11, and 6-11, 7-11, 8-11 respectively.
The next match for Varsity A will be on Wednesday Jan. 21 against Rye High School.
