Police last week cited a 24-year-old man for minor drug infractions after a neighbor’s complaint led police to a Millport Avenue apartment where he had been smoking pot.
At about 8:03 p.m. on Nov. 30, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex after a complainant reported smelling burnt marijuana from a nearby unit, police said.
Following up, officers knocked on the door of the apartment in question and immediately smelled burnt marijuana when the door was opened, according to a police report.
On speaking with the 24-year-old man, a Stamford resident, an officer spotted a marijuana grinder in plain view and smelled burnt pot, the report said.
Police cited him for possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
