Jelliff Mill Road will be closed 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to thru-traffic from May 9 to 18, officials say.
Local traffic and school buses will be able to access the road, but commuters and motorists using it as a pass-through between Old Stamford Road and Ponus Ridge should expect delays, according to the New Canaan Police Department.
“This closure is a result of the removal by Aquarion Water Company of the temporary water pipeline,” according to a news bulletin from the police department.
Further questions regarding the project should be directed to Aquarion Water Company, the department said.
The road already has been difficult for motorists, as it’s been a single-lane of alternating traffic since the Jelliff Mill Bridge replacement project started in March.
