Police are investigating a laptop that was reported stolen after a St. Luke’s School student left it on a Metro-North Railroad train and no one turned it in.

The 14-year-old student went to New York City for a field trip on May 16 and left a Macbook Air worth $1,800 in a backpack on the return trip, according to police.

The railroad didn’t find it and at 10:05 a.m. on May 29, St. Luke’s School employee reported it missing, police said.
