Police early Monday arrested a 21-year-old Harrison Avenue man by warrant in connection with a domestic incident from December.

A complaint of domestic abuse and threatening originally was filed Dec. 6 by a victim, according to a police report.

Based on an investigation that followed, police secured a warrant to arrest the man on second-degree threatening charges.

He turned himself in at about 6:22 a.m. Monday.

It isn’t clear what the original abuse and threat involved, whether the victim is related to the arrested man or how. Police withheld further information, classifying the incident as a domestic matter.

Under state law, a person is guilty of second-degree threatening when “by physical threat, such person intentionally places or attempts to place another person in fear of imminent serious physical injury,” and “such person threatens to commit any crime of violence with the intent to terrorize another person,” or “such person threatens to commit such crime of violence in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror.”

Police held the arrested man on $10,000 bond and scheduled him to appear Monday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
