Police on Thursday morning arrested a 24-year-old Stamford man in connection with two predawn burglaries at a Forest Street business where he used to work.
Video surveillance showed that the man at 3:43 a.m. on March 3 and 5:33 a.m. on March 11 took cash totaling about $180 from Embody Fitness Gourmet, according to a police report.
In both cases, the former employee used a key to get in, the report said.
At about 2:50 a.m. on March 25, police saw a man matching the suspect’s description in the area of Embody Fitness, it said. He was detained and later confessed to the burglaries, police said.
Police charged him with two counts of third-degree burglary, a felony offense, as well as sixth-degree larceny.
He was held on $40,000 bond and scheduled to appear Thursday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
