Police arrested a 44-year-old Milford man on drunk driving charges last Tuesday after he failed field sobriety tests and tested four times the legal blood-alcohol limit.
At about 10:15 p.m. on Jan. 6, he was speeding on Oenoke Ridge Road coming out of the turn past God’s Acre and an officer pulled him over near Lambert Road, according to a police report.
There, police smelled alcohol and saw two bottles of Smirnoff vodka in plain site in the vehicle, one empty and another two-thirds full, the report said.
The man was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Jan. 16 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
