Police last week arrested a 24-year-old Stamford man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 10:03 p.m. on Nov. 17, an officer’s license plate reader got a hit on a car passing northbound on Ponus Ridge that the vehicle’s registration had expired, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the operator showed signs of impairment, the report said.
He failed field sobriety tests and submitted to a blood-alcohol test, whose results are pending, it said.
Police additionally charged him with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 30 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
