Police cited a Strawberry Hill Road man on a minor marijuana charge after finding pot in his car during a pre-dawn motor vehicle stop last week.

At about 1:19 a.m., police pulled over the man’s car after they clocked him exceeding the 45 mph speed limit on Route 123 near East Avenue.

The office on approaching the stopped car smelled marijuana and the man handed him a small plastic baggie with pot in it, according to a police report.

He received an infraction summons for possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana.

Police are searching for a white woman described as a 5’4” tall brunette following a Forest Street business’s report that she stole $215 in clothes.

The store’s manager told police that on March 24, video surveillance caught the woman, wearing an oversized gray jacket, exit a changing room carrying fewer items than she had when she entered it, according to a police report.

The woman is suspected of stealing a zip-top ($75), shorts ($40) and two sports bras ($50 apiece).

A 55-year-old Overlook Drive man on April 2 told police that someone had tried to file a tax return using his Social Security number. The filing was rejected by the IRS, police said.
