Police after midnight Thursday arrested a 33-year-old Stamford woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 12:30 a.m. on June 14, officers were dispatched to Main Street and Harrison Avenue on a report of a motorist operating erratically, police said.
Authorities found the vehicle on New Norwalk Road, swerving over the double-yellow line as it traveled southbound and with its emergency flashers on, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer detected signs of impairment, the report said.
The motorist failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a blood-alcohol content test, it said.
Police cited the woman for failure to drive right.
She was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear June 26 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
