Police on Sunday morning arrested a 20-year-old Bridgeport woman and charged her with sixth-degree larceny.
At about 10 a.m. on Feb. 3, an officer was dispatched to the Mobil Gas Station on South Avenue on a report of a $20 theft from a donation bin, according to a police report.
The larceny had occurred before dawn, at about 3:43 a.m., on Saturday, the report said.
Following an investigation that included the use of surveillance video from inside the station, the woman could be seen removing $20 from a clear donation box on the counter, it said.
She was released after promising to appear Feb. 15 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
