Police before dawn Saturday arrested a 37-year-old Hillside Avenue woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 2:53 a.m. on Jan. 19, officers were dispatched to the area of 38 Forest St. on a report of a single-car crash where a vehicle had struck a trailer, police said.
There, police found the woman, who had struck a City Carting container.
She told officers that she’d had four or five drinks in the evening, according to a police report. The woman failed field sobriety tests and refused to under go a test to determine her blood-alcohol level, the report said.
Police released the woman on $260 bonding scheduled her to appear Jan. 30 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
