New Canaan Police say they’re investigating several thefts of packages delivered to residences in town on Thursday.

FedEx told police that a white vehicle might be following the company’s trucks in New Canaan and trying to steal packages once they’re delivered, according to a media bulletin issued by Lt. Jason Ferraro, the department’s public information officer.

“The New Canaan Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating this white vehicle with a partial Connecticut license plate beginning with 724,” Ferraro said. “Further, we are asking residents to monitor any surveillance cameras if they had any deliveries by FedEx for a white vehicle possibly observed in the video.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact New Canaan Police at 203-594-3500.
