Police arrested two New York State men by warrant last week in connection with their attempt this past summer to use fake credit cards to buy goods at a Pine Street pharmacy.

The men—a 27-year-old from Valley Stream, N.Y., and a 26-year-old who gave police a hometown of ‘South Ozone, N.Y.’ (possibly south Ozone Park in Queens)—are accused of trying to purchase $200 in goods at Walgreens on June 27 with seven fake credit cards, according to a police report.

They each were charged with seven counts of unlawful reproduction of a credit card and conspiracy to commit unlawful reproduction of a credit card, and one count of illegal use of a credit card and conspiracy to commit illegal use of a credit card.

Police obtained warrants for their arrests following an extensive joint effort between the New Canaan Police Department Patrol Division and Investigative Section, according to Police Lt. Jason Ferraro.

The men turned themselves in to police at 9:10 on Dec. 9. They were released on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 23 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
