New Canaan police on May 21 arrested two area teens on forgery charges after finding fake IDs on the pair at the Talmadge Hill Train Station parking lot—and cited a third on minor drug charges.

At 8:32 p.m., an officer saw a car with three young men backed into a space in the upper tier of the lot, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc. Approaching the car, the officer smelled marijuana and, inside, found a Gatorade water bottle with a baggie of pot and marijuana vaporizer, and also found a black metal grinder in the car, police said.

Two 19-year-olds also turned over fake Ids—one showing Maryland and the other Ohio, making the boys 21 and 22, respectively.

An 18-year-old from Darien said the marijuana and gear belonged to him—he was cited for possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released after promising to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

The other two—from Stamford and Trumbull—were charged with third-degree forgery, and also released on a promise to appear.
