Investigations: $7,000 Insulin Pump Reported Stolen from NCHS

Police are investigating the reported theft of a $7,000 insulin pump from a locker room at New Canaan High School.

The item last was seen on Sept. 17 and was noticed missing on Sept. 23, police said.

Both the police department’s school resource officer and school officials are investigating.

Some $2,000 in jewelry and electronics was reported stolen from a Middle Ridge Road home some time around midday last Thursday, police said.

It happened between 10:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. at a home that was locked but whose alarm had not been set, according to police. A garage window had been forced open and a laptop worth $1,000 was removed, as well as a safe containing jewelry, according to police. An active investigation is underway.

Police are investigating the reported theft of some $3,000 in camera equipment from an Old Norwalk Road home.

At about 8:59 p.m. on Sept. 22, police received a report that a Nikon camera worth $1,499, as well as lenses and a flash, had been stolen from a parked car some time after 5 p.m. on Sept. 18.

When the equipment’s owner went into the car the following morning, the gear was gone and vehicle showed no signs of forced entry, he said.
