The New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps and police both were on scene shortly after 7:30 p.m. following a report of a motor vehicle accident. Members of the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, helped by directing the diverted traffic. Officials said no serious injuries were sustained.

The truck appeared to have been traveling southbound on 106 and could be seen wedged in the oncoming traffic lane. Its air bag had been deployed.

It isn’t clear how long the road will be closed, whether the accident could affect train service or whether the driver will be charged.

NewCanaanite.com updated this article to note that CERT was on scene. We will update this article as more information becomes available.
