The town on Oct. 7 received an application to build a new two-story home on a Bickford Lane parcel where a 1963-built ranch-style house had stood.
The new construction planned for 36 Bickford Lane will include four bedrooms and seven bathrooms in a 3,984-square-foot living space on the first and second floors, with a 1,557-square-foot finished basement, according to the building permit application.
The contractor on the job will be Paul Hertz of Darien and the architect is La Vigra Associates of Ridgefield, the application said.
The house will cost about $1,095,600 to build, it said.
The property was purchased one year ago for $724,900, tax records show. The town last month issued a demolition permit for the house that had stood there.
