Police on Friday evening cited three juveniles for pot possession after officers came upon their car parked on Millport Avenue.
At about 5:35 p.m. on Feb. 12, officers approached the parked car and, upon speaking with the three young New Canaan males inside it, detected the odor of marijuana, according to a police report.
Subsequently, police cited each of thm for possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police withheld the boys’ names because of their ages.
It wasn’t immediately clear just how much marijuana was in the vehicle or what the paraphernalia was—smoking gear, a grinder or something else.
Each of the boys was released after promising to appear Feb. 23 in the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford.
