Police after midnight Wednesday cited a 24-year-old Bethel man for a minor drug infraction after finding marijuana-smoking gear in his car during a traffic stop.
At about 1:32 a.m. on Jan. 25, an officer on patrol saw the man cross over the double-yellow line while traveling northbound on South Avenue, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle, the report said.
A search turned up a green glass smoking pipe with marijuana residue, it said.
Police cited the Bethel man for possession of drug paraphernalia and gave him a verbal warning for failure to drive right.
