A 54-year-old North Haven man was arrested last week and charged with interfering with an officer.
At about 5:58 p.m. on Feb. 4, police were dispatched to the area of Walgreens on Pine Street on a complaint of a man asking people for money, officials said.
Officers found him at the train station seeking to leave town, according to a police report.
He gave police a false name when confronted, the report said.
Police knew the man from past experience and determined that he had given a false name, so the brought the misdemeanor charge, it said.
He was released on $75 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 14 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
