Police last week arrested a 61-year-old Weymouth, Mass. man and charged him with driving under the influence.

At about 4:18 p.m. on Feb. 21, officers were dispatched to Oenoke Ridge Road between Turtleback and Logan Roads on a report of a suspicious vehicle with a male driver and female passenger, police said. The man had pulled into a driveway and, on being confronted by a homeowner, pulled back out and began traveling southbound on Oenoke, according to a police report.

Officers found the vehicle and pulled it over, the report said. On approaching and speaking to the driver, officers saw a cup of wine in his left hand and opened bottle between his legs, the report said.

The man admitted that he’d been drinking alcohol while driving, it said. His blood-alcohol content level was not immediately available.

Police charged held the man on $200 bond and scheduled him to appear Feb. 22 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
