Police on Thursday morning arrested a 46-year-old Virginia man by warrant following a domestic incident on Christmas Day.
At about 10:24 p.m. on Dec. 25, officers were dispatched to a Maple Street residence on a report of a dispute between the arrested man and a victim, police said.
He had left the scene but a warrant was obtained for his arrest on three misdemeanor charges, according to a police report.
He turned himself in to police at 7 a.m. on Feb. 2, the report said, on charges of second-degree unlawful restraint, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
It isn’t clear what the dispute involved, whether or how the arrested man is related to the victim, to what extent that individual sustained injuries or how the arrested man restrained the victim. Police withheld further information, classifying the incident as a domestic matter.
He was held on $20,000 bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 2 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
