Police before dawn Saturday arrested a 40-year-old Norwalk man and charged him with operating under the influence.
Officers at about 4:37 a.m. on April 9 were dispatched to Ponus Ridge and Davenport Ridge Roads on a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident, according to a police report.
On speaking with the drivers of both vehicles, police detected signs that the Norwalk man was under the influence of alcohol, the report said.
He failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a breath test, the report said.
The driver additionally was cited for failure to drive right.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear April 20 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
