Police on Friday night arrested a 49-year-old Wilton woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At about 10:42 p.m. on Feb. 23, officers were dispatched to South Avenue in the area of White Birch Road on a report of a single-car crash, police said. The vehicle had traveled off of the roadway and became stuck in a ditch, though nobody had been injured, according to a police report.
Arriving, officers spoke to the driver and smelled alcohol on her breath, the report said.
She failed field sobriety tests and was charged with the misdemeanor offense, it said. She declined to submit to a blood-alcohol content test, it said.
Police released the woman on $250 bond and scheduled her to appear March 6 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
