Police on Wednesday night arrested a 34-year-old woman and charged her with a felony offense after discovering that she was driving drunk with a 3-year-old child in the car.
At about 9:44 p.m. on March 15, an officer on patrol stopped her car because it had a defective market light, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the Stamford woman showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests, the report said.
She registered a blood-alcohol level of .11, against a legal limit of .08, it said.
Police said the woman’s three-year-old child also was in the car.
She was charged with risk of injury, a felony, as well as driving under the influence. Police additionally cited her for failure to illuminate rear marker plate.
She was released on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear March 29 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
