Police on Thursday night arrested two New Canaan residents following a domestic dispute at their home.
At about 10:16 p.m. on Sept. 5, officers were dispatched to an Avalon East Drive residence on a report of dispute between two occupants, police said.
There, following an investigation, a 42-year-old man and 35-year-old woman were charged with disorderly conduct, according to a police report.
The pair have the same surname though it isn’t clear how they’re related, what the argument involved, who started it or whether it turned physical. Police withheld further information, classifying the incident as a domestic matter.
Each was released after promising to appear Friday in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
Under state law, a person is guilty of disorderly conduct when, with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or by offensive or disorderly conduct, annoys or interferes with another person, among other reasons.
