Police arrested a 48 year-old Locust Avenue man Friday morning on felony sexual assault charges following a complaint involving a child.
Bayron Castro of 96 Locust Ave. Unit 4 was arrested by warrant 10:40am and charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury or impairing the morals of children.
Police received a complaint on Monday morning, and after an investigation obtained an arrest warrant.
Police Chief Leon Krolikowski stated in a press release, “Our Department’s swift and comprehensive response to this incident highlights the professionalism, and devotion to duty our officers display each and every day.”
Police are not releasing any further details about the incident or investigation.
Castro is currently being held on a $250,000 bond and scheduled to appear Monday in State Superior Court in Norwalk.
