Police last Wednesday night arrested a 23-year-old New Canaan man following a domestic dispute at a Beacon Hill Lane home.
At about 8 p.m. on June 21, officers were dispatched to the home on a report of a dispute between the man and another resident there, according to a police report.
Following an investigation, including evidence at the scene such as a broken mirror and damaged door jamb, police charged the man with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
It isn’t clear whether or the victim is related to the arrested man, what prompted the argument or whether the dispute turned physical to the point where someone was hurt.
Police withheld further information, saying it was a domestic matter.
The man was released after promising to appear June 22 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
