“Women in Afghanistan: Challenges & Opportunities Post-2014”

$50The public is invited to attend an Ambassadors’ Roundtable series breakfast presentation by Charlotte Ponticelli on “Women in Afghanistan: Challenges & Opportunities Post-2014”. This event will take place at the Stamford Yacht Club on March 4, 2015.
Charlotte M. (Charlie) Ponticelli is an international and governmental affairs expert currently serving as Program Director & Advisor for the American Committees on Foreign Relations. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Business and Economics School at The Catholic University of America.
With 23 years of US Government experience, Ponticelli began her career on Capitol Hill and served most recently as the State Department’s Senior Coordinator for International Women’s Issues and later as Deputy Under Secretary for International Labor Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor.
Ponticelli has received the State Department’s Superior Honor Award, the “Loyalty Award” from the American Women for International Understanding, the “Inspiration Award” from the Foreign Investment Network and Global Trusted Alliances, and the “Afghan & American Sisterhood Award” from Ariana Outreach.
The cost for the breakfast and presentation is free for AR series members, $30 for Forum members and $50 for the general public. The event will start at 7:15 A.M. with coffee and networking followed by a full breakfast buffet at 7:30. The presentation will begin at 8 A.M. and Ms. Ponticelli will take questions.
