St, Marks Episcopal Church will present a Choral Evensong under the direction of Arthur Sjögren on Sunday, November 4 at 5PM. Evensong is a liturgy in use in the Anglican tradition and always celebrated in the late afternoon or evening. This service is particularly unique since most of the service is rendered chorally. The origin of Evensong stems from the services monks observed in monasteries. The Archbishop of Canterbury, under the reign of King Henry the VIII, selected this service as one of the central services of the Anglican Church. Come and enjoy this beautifully sung service.
