The 2017 Grit ‘N Wit Obstacle Dash 5k and Kids Run will take place on Sunday, October 22 in Waveny Park, New Canaan!

Enjoy a fun day outside with family and friends while supporting a great cause! All proceeds support the summer camp financial assistance program at the Y.

The Kids Run begins at 12:00 PM and is a short run with kid-friendly obstacles appropriate for ages 5-9. All kid obstacles can be completed as individuals, but parents are welcome to help.

The 5k obstacle dash begins at 12:30 PM and is open to ages 10+ and is the first obstacle course where brain meets brawn! You and your teammates will be working together to take on 16 physical obstacles and mental challenges throughout Waveny Park! Put together a team (we recommend 4 individuals – though more or less is fine) and simply sign-up on-line (either individually or together). When you sign up, be sure to put in your team name.

This event is designed to be fun so you can go as fast or as slow as you want. If a physical challenge seems too daunting, feel free to go around it. For those teams that are looking to compete, we will be keeping track of time and awarding medals to the winning teams.

5k Adults (18+): $55 in advance, $65 at the event
5k Youth (ages 10-17): $30 in advance, $335 at the event
5k Family (2 adults/2 youth): $125 in advance, $150 at the event
Kids Run (ages 5-9): $20 in advance, $25 at the event
