New Canaan YMCA Annual Community Halloween Party
Sunday, October, 26, 2014 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
On Sunday, October 26, the New Canaan YMCA will host its Annual Community Halloween Party. This is a free event that is open to all members of the community. The event will run from 2:00PM to 4:00PM; directly following the town parade. Children and their family members are encouraged to come in costume. Featured events for this year include Halloween-themed games, a photo booth, special treats, Old Faithful fire truck rides, a pumpkin rodeo, palm reading, a Jack-o-Lantern contest, and Trunk-or-Treat.
“The Halloween Party is one of our largest community events of the year. It gives families the opportunity to spend quality time together, and that’s one of our primary goals for hosting it,” said Nicki Jezairian, Director of Community Engagement for the Y. “The YMCA is about community, and providing events, like this one, allows families to come together in a fun and safe environment.”
In celebration of National Make A Difference Day, the Y’s Togetherhood Committee will be featuring a drop box at the Halloween Party, so members of the community may donate toiletries, playing cards, CDs, thank you notes, and more to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.
