New Canaan Library Announces Celebrity Bartender Event at Barolo Trattoria and Wine Bar
Thursday, April, 23, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
New Canaan, CT, [April 1, 2015] –Raise a glass in support of your Library! On Thursday April 23rd from 6 to 9 pm, Barolo will turn over its bar to New Canaan’s own First Selectman, Rob Mallozzi, as Celebrity Guest Bartender for the benefit of New Canaan Library. Mr. Mallozzi will step in behind the bar to pour wine and serve cocktails to guests. “I am happy to lend my services – this is a fun vehicle to help my friends at the Library and I hope people will come down and support it,“ said Mallozzi. “I am especially pleased to premiere the new cocktail sensation, the ‘Town Hall’, which I hope will release the generosity in the crowd.”
All gratuities and 10% of the bar tab will be donated by Barolo to the Library to fund its ongoing Annual Fund Campaign.
“We approached the Library with the idea of hosting a fundraiser and they happily agreed. We have been supporting non-profits in this way at our other restaurant for many years and with great success so we thought it was time to introduce the concept here in New Canaan.” said Jeff Hennig, Developer of Special Events for Barolo.
“We were delighted to partner with Barolo on this idea, especially as they are such close neighbors of the Library and love any opportunity to work with our first selectman, Rob Mallozzi“ added Lisa Oldham, Executive Director of New Canaan Library.
The event is free and open to the public, although registration is requested. You may register in advance online at newcanaanlibrary.org/barolo. The first 50 registrants will be eligible to win the door prize of a fine bottle of wine.
