Once again the New Canaan Artisans (formerly New Canaan Sewing Group) will deck the halls with a wide selection of creative traditional and contemporary handcrafts for the holidays. Hopefully you already marked your calendar for the annual Holiday Boutique that will be Fri., Dec. 2 from 9:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. in Morrill Hall at St. Mark’s Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge Rd., New Canaan. A preview party ($10 admission) is scheduled for Thurs., Dec. 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the same location.
One of the features of this year’s boutique will be Christmas stockings to hang by the chimney with care. We will also continue the tradition started last year of the ornament trees, handmade ornaments of all types will be displayed for sale on trees. Of course there will be many decorative and fashionable handcrafts to add to the holiday cheer such as the “Winter Woolies” collection of hats, scarves and mittens, door and table decorations, unique one-of-a-kind gift items and the popular Gourmet Table.
Proceeds from the Holiday Boutique benefit over twenty local, non-profit organizations in Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk and Wilton.
