Thursday, March, 23, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeIn the wake of natural disasters, social justice organizations are often called upon, not only to rebuild, but also to fight the injustices that can result from environmental devastation.
In April 2015, an earthquake struck Nepal, killing thousands and destroying many more homes and businesses. The environmental damage caused by the earthquake resulted in increased crime, including human trafficking, and decreased health and living conditions.
Join Grace Farms Foundation for a panel discussion about the important steps humanitarian organizations and individuals are taking in response to the environmental and social impact of the 2015 earthquake. Hear from Conor Grennan, Founder and President of Next Generation Nepal; George Basch, Founder of the Himalayan Stove Project; and Scott Hamilton, President of Dooley Intermed International.
