Like Johnny Cash and June Carter (“We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout”), New Canaan Library invites music lovers to get swept away by the melodies and heart-tugging emotions of country music, performed by critically acclaimed duo Nina Et Cetera. Nina Et Cetera focuses on classic country and blues, performing songs made famous by music icons such as Johnny Cash, Elvis, The Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Peggy Lee, Gershwin and many others.
Musical duo Nina Et Cetera is shaped by an eclectic background. Nina studied at Berklee College of Music and has played in numerous bands, performing professionally for the past 10 years in venues across the Tri-State area. Tim studied North Indian vocal music for a number of years in New Delhi and studied music theory at Long Island University. Together they recreate the sound and style of the great American country and country/blues artists who left their mark on the American discography.
