Lillo Brancato, is a Colombian-born American actor best known for his stellar performance as “Calogero Anello” in Robert De Niro’s 1993 directorial debut film, A Bronx Tale. He also played Matthew Bevilaqua, a young mobster on the EMMY Award- winning television series, The Sopranos.
Sober now for nine years since his release from prison in 2013, Lillo Brancato completely focuses all his efforts warning young people of the potential consequences of substance abuse. He’s accomplished this by appealing to all ages at countless pro bono appearances before NY, NJ and CT groups and organizations. Brancato’s no-nonsense, straight talk appeals to students in middle, high school, college and university levels, as well as substance abuse rehabilitation centers. His story is a cautionary tale of how drugs and alcohol can personally destroy one’s life.
