Finding Design: Landscape Architects and the Creative Process presented by Susan Cohen

FreeSusan Cohen, award-wining landscape designer, teacher and author, will be the guest speaker for New Canaan Beautification League’s meeting on Wednesday, November 2nd at 10AM at New Canaan Nature Center. Her presentation is entitled “Finding Design: Landscape Architects and the Creative Process.” She will investigate how most successful landscape architects find inspiration for their designs in art, nature, culture, myth and personal history. Copies of Susan’s most recent book The Inspired Landscape will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of Elm Street Books.
Susan is a Greenwich-based landscape architect known for simple and elegant designs in harmony with the character of each site. Her work is represented in local and national publications. She is coordinator of New York Botanical Garden’s Landscape Design Program and their Landscape Design Portfolio Lecture Series as well as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
New Canaan Beautification League is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to horticultural projects, education and conservation.
