(New Canaan, CT, March 14, 2017) – The New Canaan Republican Town Committee is pleased to announce that Ed Rollins, political analyst, political campaign strategist and presidential advisor, will be the keynote speaker at the 11th Annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner to be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Woodway Country Club.
Mr. Rollins served in the administrations of Presidents Richard M. Nixon, Gerald R. Ford, Ronald W. Reagan and George H. W. Bush. He directed both the White House Office of Political Affairs and the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs for President Reagan; and in 1984, he managed President Ronald Reagan’s reelection campaign. During the 1990s, he served as the Chief Political Advisor to the House Republican Leadership and was instrumental in developing the strategy that led to the first Republican majority in nearly half a century.
Ed Rollins is the Senior Presidential fellow at Hofstra University’s Center for the Study of the American Presidency, and he appears regularly as a political analyst on Meet the Press, Face the Nation, This Week, Nightline, Hardball and many other network and cable television news programs. His memoir, Bare Knuckles and Back Rooms, was the number-one selling political book in America in 1996. He lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.
The Lincoln-Reagan Dinner is the primary fundraising event for the New Canaan Republican Town Committee, providing funds to help elect Republicans on the local, state and national levels, and it also serves as the annual meeting of New Canaan Republicans.
The New Canaan Republican Town Committee (RTC) serves the Town of New Canaan by informing and motivating voters in the process of recruiting and electing the best Republican candidates for local, state and national political offices. RTC consists of up to 20 members who are elected at caucuses in January of even-numbered years. The RTC holds public meetings on the second Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m. usually in the meeting room of Town Hall.
