St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in New Canaan, CT will present Blues in Lent, beginning Wednesday, March 8 at 7:30PM, and will run for five consecutive Wednesdays during Lent. All performances are free and open to the public. Playing and listening to the blues and to spirituals allows a deeper experience of humanity, and is a way a way to reflect and grow. This month, New York City based blues, rock and jazz guitar player, singer, and composer Tom Larsen will be presenting a series of duos, performing some of his favorite pieces with special musical guests. He will be joined by a selection of impressive NYC-based musicians that he has worked with in the past, including Solomon Hicks, Jason Marshall, Todd Caldwell, Wayne Tucker, and SaRon Crenshaw.
