Being Queen: Thoughts from the Throne

Hosted by NC Women Mean Business, “Being Queen: Thoughts from the Throne” will take place at the New Canaan Library on March 1 from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. This event, open to the public, will consist of 7 panelists – all women from varying fields with a direct connection to New Canaan – who will share their leadership experiences and encourage women and girls to pursue their goals. Each speaker will present her wisdom and an interactive Q&A session with the audience will ensue. A great parent/daughter outing for teens and up, or a unique girls’ night out for recent college grads to grandmothers! Admission is free.
Whether self-employed, manager of many, or career volunteer, women in positions of power seek success and find solutions every single day. From budgets and best practices to operations and communications, women at every age and stage multitask to achieve their goals. Be inspired by this impressive panel of women in business and the non-profit world, and take their wisdom home with you to implement in your own life.

Created in September 2015 by Darcy Pennoyer Smith, NC Women Mean Business is a group of women from or in New Canaan, CT, who run their own businesses or non-profit organizations and/or hold a volunteer board position. Women from New Canaan who are employed but may not be the CEO are also welcome. Based on Facebook, this forum permits its members to advertise; celebrates the achievements of women; serves as a support system; and provides a fantastic place to exchange ideas, event details and promotions.
