Police cited a 20-year-old Norwalk man early Wednesday morning for minor drug charges following a traffic stop in New Canaan.
At about 1:41 a.m. on March 30, an officer on patrol on New Norwalk Road spotted a motor vehicle with an expired Florida license plate, according to a police report.
Approaching the vehicle, the officer smelled marijuana, and a a subsequent search yielded a small amount of a pot with a silver grinder, the report said.
Police cited the motorist with possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration.
