Police on Tuesday night arrested a 33-year-old New Canaan man and charged him with evading responsibility.
At about 8:59 p.m. on March 21, officers were dispatched to an East Avenue home on a report of someone evading a motor vehicle crash, police said.
There, officers determined that the 33-year-old had struck a neighbor’s car while backing out of the driveway, and left the scene, according to a police report.
Police found him at work and took him into custody for the misdemeanor offense, the report said.
He was released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear April 4 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
