Police after midnight Saturday arrested a 33-year-old New Canaan woman and charged her with driving under the influence.
At 12:42 a.m. on Feb. 4, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle with no front license plate traveling on New Norwalk Road, according to a police report.
During a subsequent stop, the officer spoke to the driver—a River Road resident—and smelled the odor of alcohol emitting from the car, the report said.
She was taken into custody following an investigation, it said.
The woman refused to under a blood-alcohol test during booking, according to police.
She was released on $260 bond and scheduled to appear March 14 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
