Police on Thursday arrested a 59-year-old Westport woman who tested at more than three times the legal limit after a car crash.
At about 6:23 p.m. on Feb. 27, officers were dispatched to East Avenue and Route 123 on a report of the crash, police said. No one was seriously injured, according to a police report.
There, police spoke to the woman and detected signs of impairment, the report said. After administering field sobriety tests, police charged her with driving under the influence, it said.
She underwent a test at headquarters that established her blood-alcohol at .272, more than three times the legal limit.
Police additionally cited the woman for improper turning.
She was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear March 12 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
