Police on Saturday arrested a 59-year-old Stamford man following a single-vehicle crash in New Canaan.
At about 4:18 p.m. on Sept. 29, officers were dispatched to the area of Ponus Ridge and Greenley Road on a report of a van that had crashed into some trees, according to a police report.
The van after crashing was found to be unoccupied, the report said.
Police conducted an investigation and found that the Stamford man had left the crash scene after finding him at Irwin Park, it said.
He was charged with evading responsibility.
Police released the man on $250 bond and scheduled him to appear Oct. 10 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
