Mike Baker to Speak at New Canaan Library on Top Global Threats: What Keeps the Intel Community Up at Night

New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome former CIA covert fields operations officer Mike Baker, who, from his unique perspective, will discuss the concerns and fears that keep the intelligence community vigilant and hyper-focused in our fast-paced, information-heavy world. Mike Baker, President/Americas of Diligence LLC, spent 15 years as a covert field operations officer for the CIA, where he was recognized for his outstanding performance and operational achievement. His areas of specialization included counterterrorism, counternarcotics and counterinsurgency.
After the CIA Mike Baker co-founded Diligence LLC, a global intelligence, investigations, risk management and security firm that has grown over the past decade into one of the acknowledged industry leaders. As a principal partner he led the company as it expanded around the world and established the company’s security operations in Iraq, building a team of
over 200 expat and local personnel involved in security and information collection. Baker is a regular contributor in the national and international media on intelligence, security, counterterrorist issues, geopolitical affairs and cybersecurity. He appears regularly on Fox News and CNN, as well as other major outlets and television series. A former resident of New Canaan, Mike and his family now reside in Boise, Idaho.
